Tao of Moving More & Eating Better

FitMe Wellness is committed to promoting and supporting the type of healthy lifestyle that all people have the ability to enjoy. That’s why our mantra is a simple yet powerful imperative: “Move More. Eat Better.” Whether you’re a busy executive without the time to cook lavish meals, a college student constrained to the options of a dining hall menu, or simply a casual ice cream addict like me (though I prefer the word connoisseur), you can achieve the look and feel you want by following those two basic steps.
Another aspect that makes FitMe Wellness both unique and effective is that physical fitness isn’t our highest priority. You read that correctly; physical fitness isn’t at the top of the list of things we strive for. Instead, we view it as a tool for inspiring greater confidence and ability in all aspects of daily living. Physical fitness functions merely as a component of holistic well-being — a synthesis of healthy mind and body intertwined and presented
through action.
The benefits don’t stop there, however. Transcending personal wellness is community wellness. Just imagine what Rockford would be like if we were all confident, if we all felt healthy and energized, and if we all learned to love the person we see in the mirror. I like to call this the wellness multiplier. The healthier we are as individuals, the more wholesome our entire culture can become.
So what does the “Move More. Eat Better.” mantra have to do with lofty talk of transforming culture? Bestselling author and leadership coach John Maxwell says, “You will never change your life until you change something you do daily.” If we can’t change and control our own lives, then we certainly will never be able to transform our community. Get up and move more today. Eat better today. By doing so, you will become more confident and you will make Rockford a better place. That’s what FitMe Wellness is here to do.
